Ogun Is Setting New Standards For National Sports Festival.

Ogun State Commissioner For Youth And Sports, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka has declared that the State is setting new standards in the organisation of sporting events in the country with the facilities and arrangements put in place for the national sports festival.
Hon. Isiaka made this declaration while featuring on Rockcity’s flagship programme, Day Break Show, in Abeokuta on Monday. The commissioner explained that Ogun state is leaving no stone unturned in terms of facilities and welfare for the over 20,000 athletes, officials and visitors expected at the games.
Hon. Isiaka, who commended Governor Abiodun for his support, said different sporting facilities in the State have been transformed to global standards and are ready for use. these include the Olympic-size Swimming Pool, The Tennis Court, Cricket Court, Volley-Ball Court, the Mko Abiola Sports Complex and the Alake sports centre, at Ijeja in Abeokuta.
The commissioner said since the inception of the National Sports Festival in 1973, it has been a veritable vehicle for the interaction and integration of young people across the country adding that the Festival was established to unify Nigerians after the civil war alongside with the NYSC.
