NEC Postpones Talks On State Police.

The National Economic Council (NEC) at its 149th meeting held at the Aso Rock Villa In Abuja Yesterday deferred talks on state police until its next meeting, amidst the violent attacks and bloodshed in some parts of the country.
The meeting, as Rockcity reported yesterday was attended by Rivers State’ Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas(RTD). The meeting was the first since President Bola Tinubu declared emergency rule in the oil-rich Rivers State. After meeting chaired by the Vice-President kashim Shettima, Bayelsa Governor, Duoye Diri, briefed State House Correspondents. He confirmed that the issue of State Police was on the agenda, but it could not be discussed in detail as it was still far down on the list.
