Federal Govt. offers National Grid To Investors.

Minister of Power, Dr. Adebayo Adelabu has disclosed that the Federal Government is considering handing over the National Grid to private investors.

Adelabu made this disclosure in Abuja on Thursday, explaining that the Government has received various offers from private investors, adding that at moment, the National Grid is owned 100 per cent by the Government. He revealed that the Government cannot solely fund the Nation’s Electricity supply needs, but he assures that the Government will settle N2 trillion out of the N4 trillion indebtedness to GENCOS also before the end of the year.
