PDP Asks Gov. Aiyedatiwa To Call For Declaration Of State Of Emergency In Ondo Over Insecurity.

The People’s Democratic Party( PDP), has urged Lucky Aiyedatiwa to address issues of insecurity in Ondo State or call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a state of emergency, the party expressed disappointment over the incessant killing of farmers and level of insecurity in  Ondo state.

The party expressed regret over the ceaseless killings of helpless residents, whose only offence, it said, was engaging in lawful activities to put food on their tables. The party which quoted section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 constitution (as amended), as fundamental responsibility of the Government to secure and protect the lives and property of its citizens. The party implore the State Governor to be proactive in dealing with insecurity which assumes can degenerate to Southwest, whereby shedding of innocent blood if not tamed in time.
