Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat Laments Outrageous Billing By Electricty Company.
The Deputy Governor, stated this in victoria island, during an event organized by the Lagos State Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources (MEMR) in partnership with the rural electrification agency (REA). He noted that Electricity Distribution Company (DISCO) also obstructed his efforts to acquire a prepaid meter, despite having paid for one.
Hamzat described the utility billing situation as exorbitant and uncalled for. He noted that electricity is hope of common man of survival yet the billing is becoming a nightmare of the people who are struggling to make a living. Hamzat who represented Governor, Babajide Sanwo – Olu said, lack of constant electricity supply to home and offices in Lagos and Nigeria generally is a major challenge facing the citizens.
