Easter Festivities: Ogun Govt. Distributes Palliatives To Christians.

The Ogun State Government has distributed bags of rice to some Christian Faithfuls across the State as part of its efforts to cushion the effect of the present economic hardship on the citizens during the Easter festivities.
Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka, while monitoring the distribution of the palliatives at the Cathedral of St. Peters, Ake, Abeokuta, On Sunday, said the social well-being of citizens was part of the major focus of the Abiodun administration. Mr olanrewaju, said, this distribution, which took place in several other Churches across the State on Sunday, was to ensure those Christians enjoy the Easter celebration just as it was done to the Muslim Faithfuls during Ramadan.
The Peoples Warden of Cathedral Of St. Peters, Rev. Titus Ogunkola, described Dapo Abiodun, as the Governor of the masses, saying the gifts came as pleasant surprise to them. Rev. Ogunkola thanked the government for having the people at heart, adding that, this will go a long way in helping many homes who have thought this year Easter would not be celebrated.
