Lagos on alert on the likely spread of diphtheria
Lagos state is now on high alert on the likely spread of diphtheria outbreak, amidst the eid el fitri celebration.
Between January 1 and March 27 this year, the state has recorded 76 suspected cases, out of which ten were confirmed
The state health commissioner, professor akin abayomi, says his ministry is still awaiting the results of three other samples sent for test
The epicentre of the disease are the Alimosho, Badagry, Ikorodu,Kosofe,, Oojo, Mushin and Lagos Island local government areas
