NYSC to pay corps N77, 000 monthly stipends

Again, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has assured youth corps members of the payment of the approved N77, 000 monthly stipends. The new Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, assured that the payment would start as from this month. He gave the fresh timeline for the payment of the stipend on Thursday while interacting with Youth Corps Members at the Wuse and Garki Zone of NYSC in Abuja.

General Nafiu told the Youth Corps members that the payment of the new stipend would begin this month. The new N77, 000 stipend which was increased from N33, 000 was announced to implement the new national minimum wage for then Youth Corps Members. Six months after, several promises had been made by NYSC for the take off the new stipend.
