Police inspector commits suicide, shot himself dead in Ogun

A police inspector identified as Ajoke Oloyede, has shot himself to death at the Industrial Hub of Igbesa in Ogun State. The tragic incident occurred last Thursday at a ceramic factory, where the police officer was attached to his body had been deposited in the morgue of the Ota general hospital, where he was rushed to and confirmed dead. Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Omolola Odutola on Sunday confirmed the tragic incident. She said shortly before the incident, a police officer, Tolorunloju Stephen, from the force headquarters Annexe Onikan, Lagos, had returned to the factory at about 1.20pm on the fateful day.
According to Odutola, the police officer claimed he found the late inspector resting his head on a table in the security office, and he inquired if anything was wrong with him. She said the police officer later said he put his bag and rifle on a table and entered the restroom, only to hear a gunshot, Omolola said the body of the late police inspector had been deposited in a hospital morgue for autopsy. The police spokesperson says the State Investigation and Intelligence department would further investigate the circumstances of the death
