Abiodun warns Ogun Amotekun corps against harassing, oppressing and extorting residents

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has cautioned operatives of the State Amotekun Corps against abuse of power and extortion. He also warned them against harassing or oppressing residents in the state
Abiodun tasks the Amotekun Corps Operatives to earn the trust of the people in order to get more of their support, The governor issued the warning, while commissioning 13 operational vehicles and tour of the new projects of the security agency at its headquarters in Abeokuta
The Governor, represented by his chief of staff, Doctor Toyin Taiwo asked the operatives to conduct themselves with high level of integrity, According to the governor, the corps was set up to safeguard the lives and properties of residents, and not to oppress, extort or harass them
The corps commandant, retired Brigadier General Alade Adedigba thanked the governor for his administration’s support He also commended the governor for approving the recruitment of additional 500 operatives and more operational vehicles.
