Tinubu approves adoption of TASUED, IJAGUN as Federal University

The President, according to him, expressed gratitude to Ogun State Government for requesting the takeover of the University, Tinubu said the University was adopted by Federal Government to honour LATE PA OBAFEMI AWOLOWO for his revolutionary free education programme in the defunct western region he also cited LATE DOCTOR TAI SOLARIN, who spent most of his life educating children and instituting patriotic and leadership lessons in them at the Mayflower school, Ikenne. The President also acknowledged the AWUJALE OF IJEBULAND FOR PREVENTING THE CLOSURE OF THE University in 2012

Meanwhile, GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN has commended President Tinubu for approving the adoption of TASUED as a Federal University. The governor in a statement by his special adviser on information and strategy, HONORABLE KAYODE AKINMADE, said the decision would bring positive transformation to the specialized university. The University which is Nigeria’s first, was established by the Ogun State Government in 2005.
