Former presidential spokesman, Doctor Doyin Okupe is dead

He died on Friday morning in Lagos, at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness. The politician was the special assistant on media and publicity to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, senior special assistant on public affairs to former president Goodluck Jonathan, and also the director-general of peter obi’s 2023 presidential campaign
In his reaction, Governor Dapo Abiodun described his death as another personal loss, coming after the death of the Alaperu of Iperu Remo. The governor paid tribute to late Okupe [O-Ku-Pe] saying he remained a patriotic statesman and a committed member of the progressive political family, until his death
