Kaduna: Man sentenced for rape
A court in Kaduna state has sentenced a man to be surgically castrated for the offence of rape, Another was to die by hanging for the same offence. John Moses was to be surgically castrated for incest and rape, while Yakubu Mohammed is to be hung until he dies for the offence of rape
Both of them were sentenced separately under the state penal code 2017. Kaduna state human services and social development commissioner, Hajiya Rabiu Salisu who announced this on Wednesday said they were convicted separately between 2014 and 2025 She hopes that their conviction would serve as a deterrent to other potential and other rapists in the state
