VITEL claims first to release Mobile number DIGITS
Vitel wireless, popularly known as Vitel, says it has become the first Mobile Virtual Network operator in the Country to be issued a Mobile number series
The allocation of the 0712 Mobile number series, by the Nigerian Communications Commission, marked a significant step in Nigeria’s evolving telecom landscape,
Mobile number series typically consist of a unique prefix that identifies the Operator within a Country’s numbering system.
According to the company, Vitel’s emergence as a fully licensed MVNO, complete with its own number series, highlights the country’s growing openness to competitive and innovative telecom solutions aimed at improving service delivery and accessibility.
As part of its international readiness, he noted that Vitel was also issued its own International routing code by NCC, enabling seamless international connectivity and positioning the company to offer high-quality Global Telecommunications services.
