Three Feared Dead In Explosion At A Factory In Ogun

Three persons have died in an explosion which rocked a Tyre factory along Papalanto-Ilaro highway in Ogun State.

The explosion on Sunday night, at Bonny Pie Limited factory on Sunday night, was blamed on a fire outbreak, following the failure of the plant to adopt standard operating procedure.

Rockcity FM gathered that the fire broke out at the plant, when a worker at the factory, was attempting to close an already charged reactor.

In the process, the lid of the reactor fell, causing the flow of oxygen into it, resulting into an explosion.

As at Monday afternoon, frantic efforts were still being made to put out the raging fire in the factory.
