Ogun PDP Cancelled Primaries: Adebutu, Jimi Lawal Assure Supporters

Ogun State PDP Governorship Aspirant, Otunba Jumi Lawal, has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to follow the judgement of a Federal High Court, which cancelled all the primaries conducted by the State PDP for the 2023 polls.

Spokesman of the Jimi Lawal Campaign Organization, Austin Oniyukor in a statement said Otunba Lawal remains the PDP Governorship candidate to beat in the proposed primaries.

Also, the State PDP Governorship candidate, Honorable Ladi Adebutu, whose candidacy had been annuled, assured his supporters that he would be re-elected in the fresh primaries.

Adebutu in a statement by the Media Director of the Ladi Adebutu/Akinlade campaign organization, Afolabi Orekoya, said they are still awaiting the certified true copies of the court judgement.

According to him, the legal team would review the judgement and necessary actions would be taken, and would be communicated to the public.
