Buhari Orders  Military To Sustain Tempo Of Victory Against Terrorists

President Buhari has directed the military to replicate the success recorded against terrorists in the North East region to other parts of the country.

Buhari made the call during the passing out ceremony of the Nigeria Defence Academy 69 regular course in Kaduna on Thursday.

He said that his administration inherited a country at crossroads with bombs going off with frightening frequency in cities.

Buhari, however, said his administration has been able to manage Nigeria’s security crisis since assuming office in 2015.

He says the success recorded against terrorists in the north east region is largely due to the unprecedented acquisition of military hardware in the history of the Nigerian military his administration, in the past seven years.

According to Buhari,over 2,000 fighting platforms, including naval platforms were acquired for the Nigerian Navy, while the platforms of the air-force had been increased by more than 38 per cent.

The president also says that more than 2,000 armored fighting platforms, guns and equipment were acquired for the Army.
