Ohanaeze Ndigbo has warned that south’s three zones would boycott the 2023 presidential poll, if the APC and the PDP zone their tickets to northern candidates.
The organization says it will encourage southern state governors and socio-cultural organizations, to boycott the presidential poll, especially in the south-east region.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo in a statement issued on Sunday, by its secretary general, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said it would resist a fresh attempt to frustrate the south-east from producing the 2023 presidency.
According to the organization, leadership of both APC and PDP who are northerners are under pressure from northerners and their socio-cultural organizations, to deny southern candidates of the presidential tickets.
It warns that plans to abolish the unwritten agreement of both APC and PDP to rotate powers from south and north in 2023 would have unforeseen consequences.
