The presidential candidates of political parties participating in the 2023 polls have signed a peace agreement.

The agreement was signed by the candidates on Thursday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

All the candidates, except Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the APC, signed the agreement to promote violence free electioneering campaign.

Tinubu who is out of the country was represented by his deputy, Kashim Shetimma

The Peace Accord was organised by the National Peace Committee headed by Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah.
