2023: Buhari Warns Cabinet Members Over Electioneering Campaign

President Buhari has warned his members of his cabinet and top officials in federal ministries, departments and agencies against joining the ongoing electioneering campaign for the 2023 polls.

He cautions them against abandoning governance for electioneering campaign ahead of the end of his tenure in 2023.

Buhari reads the riot act at the closing session of the 2022 ministerial performance and review retreat on Tuesday.

He told his top aides that any of them who violated his directive will face severe sanctions.

According to the president, the business of governance must not allowed to suffer during electioneering campaign, but continued to received the needed attention.

He asks them to work towards the total delivery of the set target of his administration.
