The 2022 Ogun state supplementary budget and appropriation bill has scaled the second reading at the Ogun State House of Assembly.
The bill seeks to provide additional fund for the ongoing execution of ongoing capital projects across the state.
Chairman of the state finance and appropriation bill, Olakunle Shobukola opened the debate on the bill during the resumed plenary of the assembly on Tuesday.
According to him, the supplementary budget represents a paradigm shift of the usual budgeting.
The speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, asked the committee to ensure the provision of adequate fund for the ministries, department and agencies for their running cost and the payment of salaries.
He then referred the bill to the committee for further legislation.
Last December, Governor Dapo Abiodun has presented the state 2022 350.7 billion naira appropriation bill to the state house of assembly for consideration and approval.
The 350 billion naira bill is made up of 197.5 billion naira for capital votes and 153.18 billion naira for recurrent expenditure.
