South west governors have expressed concern over the large influx of okada riders into the region.
The governors resolved to undertake a bio-metric registration and the regulation of the okada riders in the region.
Their position was contained in a communique issued after a virtual meeting of the governors on Sunday.
The governors say they will reconvene the south west security committee to critically study the operation of okada in the region before it becomes another social problem in the region.
The committee, according to the governors, is to submit its findings to them on the desirability of commercial motorcycles in the south west region.
On the terrorists attack on a Catholic church in Owo, the governors declared a three day mourning for the victims.
According to the governors, the mourning which begins today would end on Wednesday.
Also, flags would be flown at half mast in all public buildings and facilities in the region in the honour of the victims of the church attack.
