A thirty year old man has reported himself to the police, after allegedly stabbing his friend to death in Ikenne, a Remo axis of Ogun state.
The suspect, Oluwagenga Shogbola, confessed to allegedly stabbing his friend, Victor Olabayo, during a dispute over the sharing over 150 US dollars from an undisclosed deal.
The dispute later degenerated into fighting which other friends failed to stop.
Hours later, a group of friends who suspected that he killed his friend during the fight challenged him, and gave him a chase while attempting to run away.
The suspect escaping from those chasing him, ran to the Ilishan-Remo police divisional headquarters to report himself.
Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirms the incident.
He says that the suspect had been transferred to the homicide unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department.
