Buhari Sends Bill Seeking FG’s Intervention In Secondary Education

President Buhari has sent a bill seeking federal government’s intervention in senior secondary education to the senate for consideration and approval.

The bill titled “National Senior Secondary School Education Bill” accompanied by a letter from Buhari was read by the senate president, Ahmed Lawan, during the Wednesday plenary in the senate.

In the letter, Buhari said the bill seeks to enforce standard and provide for federal government’s intervention to reposition senior schools in Nigeria.

Already, there is federal government controlled universal basic education commission which regulates primary and junior school education.
