17 Die, 4 Injured in FCT Auto Crash

Seventeen persons have been burnt to death in a fatal crash in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Four others were injured in the crash in the early hours of Tuesday along Kwali Abaji axis of Abuja-Lokoja highway.

Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bisi Kazeem in a statement said the accident involved a trailer marked BAU 632 XA and a bus marked GME 201 ZU.

The bus heading from Gombe to Lagos, crashed into the trailer in motion, and burst into flame.

The FRSC spokesman blamed the accident on excessive speed and fatigue.
