A total of 152 persons have died in Lassa fever outbreak since January this year, according to the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC).
The centre in its update on the disease says 273 persons infected are being hospitalized nationwide.
Fifty one health workers were also infected.

The figure, according to the centre, is the highest during the corresponding period in the past four years.
NCDC said the disease has been reported from 95 local government areas in 23 states.
Ondo state recorded then highest rate of 28 per cent of total infection, followed by Edo state with 25 percent and 15 percent in Bauchi state.
Most of those infected in the Lassa fever outbreak are between the ages of 21 and 30 years of age.
