15 Passengers Burnt Beyond Recognition In Crash On Enugu-Port Harcourt Road

All fifteen persons in a passenger bus have been burnt beyond recognition, in a ghastly auto crash on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

The bus had a head on collision with a truck on Saturday night.

Spokesman of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bisi Kazeem, in a statement on Sunday said the accident occurred at the Enugu end of the expressway.

He blamed the accident partly on one of the drivers who slept on the wheel due to fatigue.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesman said those burnt to death had been given a mass burial.

Cultist Attact In Lagos:

Suspected cultists have attacked a police checkpoint in Ikorodu, in Lagos State.

A police officer was killed, and others injured in the attack carried out Friday night, at the checkpoint at Enurem junction.

The attackers made away with two service rifles of the police officers.

Spokesman of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the attack.

He said the command has begun investigating the incident.
