13 Suspected Cultists Arrested In Ogun

Thirteen suspected cultists, some of them on wanted list, have been arrested by officers on the Nigerian Police Force, from different parts of Ogun State. Seven of them were suspected members of Eiye Confraternity.

The State Police Commissioner, Olanrewaju Oladimeji, paraded them among several suspected criminals, during his maiden news conference, held at the  police command headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Four of the suspected members of Eiye Confraternity, Toheeb Shobitan, Babatunde Atinsola, Lateef Yahaya, and Nurudeen Tajudeen were picked up at Lafenwa, Abeokuta.

Also, three other Eiye Confraternity members, Olasinaahmed, Olugbade Abiodun and Odeyemi were arrested from their hideout at Ilogbo axis of Ifo.

The commissioner also said three members of Aiye Confraternity, Adedapo Taiwo, Osiniga Waheed and John Taiwo were arrested separately at Abeokuta, Ijebu Ife, and Agbado.

The three other suspects whose cult group was not identified, Onasanya Opeoluwa, Friday Daniel and Otuneye Samuel were arrested at Ogijo, near Ikorodu.

The commissioner who descried nine of them as notorious cultists, said some of them are still undergoing investigation, while others are to be charged to court.
