13 Killed, 31 Injured In Autocrashes In Bauchi, Ogun And Kogi
Six persons have died and five others injured in a multiple autocrashes on the Jos-Maiduguri highway in Bauchi State. The fatal crash occurred on Saturday night at Rema Village, in Darazo Local Government Area.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps. The vehicles were a commercial bus marked DRZ 356 ZD, and unmarked articulated trailer.
Also, six persons have died, 25 others injured in a ghastly auto crash on Okene-Ogori highway in Kogi State. An articulated vehicle conveying passengers and cows, was involved in the lone crash which occurred on Sunday, near Ogori Mangogo.
The state sector commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Stephen Dalung told newsmen in Lokoja that the articulated vehicle was conveying 45 passengers and cows.

He said that some of the cows died in the crash. The remains of those who died, according to the FRSC commander, had been deposited at the morgue of the Ageva General Hospital in Lokoja.
Those injured were taken to four hospitals for treatment. In another crash in Ogun State, one person died and one other injured in a lone crash along the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode expressway in Ogun State.
FRSC Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar in a statement by the state command of the agency, Superintendent Route Commander Florence Okpeh said the accident involved a petrol tanker,
The crash, according to him, was caused by an electrical fault in the tanker which caused a fire outbreak. The FRSC commander said the injured victim had been taken away by a good Samaritan before the arrival of FRSC personnel at the site of the crash.
