The Joint Matriculation Board (JAMB) has registered more than 1.8 million candidates for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to jamb in its weekly bulletin, more than 1.8 million candidates were registered between last February 19 and march 26.

The number, according to the bulletin, is far higher than 1.4 million registered for the 2021 UTME.
Earlier, the jamb registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, had said that the projected figure of registered candidate for this year UTME was 1.5 million.
776 computer based test (CBT) centres participated in the UTME registration.
The UTME examination is scheduled to hold on May 6 to May 16, while mock UTME takes place earlier on April 9.
